What kind of baseball glove does my left handed child need?

Hi, I'm a Mom %26amp; my little boy is going to be playing baseball for the first time. He is lefthanded. Would he need a left handed baseball glove? Or since he would be pitching w/ his left hand, need a right hand one for his right hand or need one of each for different plays? Thank you in advance to anyone that answers.|||He needs a standard left handed youth glove, which he wears on his right hand.

One of my kids is a lefty too, we usually buy our gear at

www.baseballsavings.com

They carry both left and right handed gloves and have good prices.

Best of luck!|||The hand he throws with is what he's considered, so if he throws with his right hand, he is a right hander. The mitt would go on his left hand. You would buy a right handed mitt. If he throws with his left hand, he's a lefty, so the mitt would go on his right hand.|||if he throws with his left, get a glove for his right hand, which is called a lefty glove, i know its confusing. Just make sure that the glove goes on the hand that he does NOT throw with.|||you need to buy a glove that goes on his right hand so that he can throw with his left hand
