How long do you think it will be before boring baseball becomes extinct?

Lets face it. Baseball popularity is no where near where it was decades ago. Most young people today think its boring and slow. Now all the hype is on football, basketball and soccer and other sports. No one really cares about the World Series as much anymore. Only a few old timers really care about it because back then they had nothing else to do. Once most of them are dead, baseball will only become a distant memory. The only good thing about it is helped put people to sleep more than most sleeping pills. What do you think?|||-When the Chicago Cubs win the World Series (So don't hold your Breath! ) . ;)|||Your use of the phrase "boring baseball" always tips us off that this is another sock puppet account.

You are correct in one thing. Baseball popularity *is* nowhere near where it was decades ago. In the 50s average total attendance for all levels was around 40 million, and in 2008 total baseball attendance was over 110 million.

So, even though it was an accident of phrasing, you did (finally) get one thing right.|||Wow. You are crazy if you think baseball's gonna go extinct. It's the second most popular sport before basketball and after football. It is before, now, and in the future. It beats all.|||What? Are you... but... Let me just show you something... Also, 10/20 of your questions asked are in baseball. You have also said you watch MLB Network.|||Look at it this way ..... you eat what you want becaUSE YOU LIKE/LOVE IT (UNLESS YOU'RE HOMELESS AT WHICH POINT YOU EAT (dang it ... stupid Caps lock!) whatever you find.

Same thing with Baseball.

It's not every body's Cup of Tea.

So be it ... (smiling)|||The day hell freezes over the day pigs fly. the day the cubs dont choke. the day money gross on trees. want any more?

oh heres an idea if you dont like it you DONT HAVE TO WATCH IT.|||I thought you were x when I saw this question. Either way, I love baseball. It is still America's pastime and is still very popular in the country.|||Are you telling me your the same guy as X?

edit: Glad I wasn't the only one thinking that Dan.

edit 2: The avatars got resemblance too but this question confirms it.|||it will NEVER become extinct.Baseball is refered to as americas past time. enough said|||baseball will never become extinct..|||NEVER|||never|||263 years|||Go to hell|||you wont see it|||even if the earth is wiped out, baseball games will be going on way upstairs, and maybe even down below (thats if the man in red is not watching his buddies)until the earth as we know it is reformed and we can all sit around at the ball park or in front of a tv set, and

watch the best game in the world be played by the top athletes in the world, and we will just be waiting for our hotdogs, and or chips and peanuts. Go Jays Go!
