Baseball.....?

Why do the Americans call their baseball tournement the 'world seires' when only american teams are in it? There's more world than that.|||The concept of playing teams from other countries would be cool though, seeing as the world baseball classic brought out the fact that many of our MLB players are foreign or had descendants from another country.|||because we invented the game.|||its just what its called idk y. but to be fair there r a LOT of foreign born players in the mlb.|||Who cares?

We can call it whatever the f*** we want.

By the way, it's spelled "Series."|||because they call USA the world because its the best country|||Probably because we have the best teams in the world (with an exception of Japan) and we were the ones who invented the game|||Actually there is a Canadian team in the MLB so that makes it all of North America|||Well, it's just like when football teams win the Superbowl, they're called WORLD CHAMPIONS. And we are, of course, the only country that plays football.

The World Series is just a misnomer. Take it with a grain of salt.|||One team plays its home games in Canada, and the players come from many places worldwide.

Why does not the European Union include all of Europe?|||It is because the best players from around the world make up these American teams. Baseball takes the greatest players from around the world and then the two teams made up of the best players around the world meet head to head in the World Series. Let's just say the Yankees make the World Series this year, and you really can never count them out from that happening. Look at the diversity of where their players are from?

C- Posada ( Puerto Rico)

1B- Giambi (USA)

2B - Cano (Dominican Republic)

SS - Jeter (USA)

3B - Rodriguez (USA)

LF - Damon (USA)

CF- Cabrera (Dominican Republic)

RF - Abreu (Venezuela)

DH - Matsui (Japan)

P - Wang (Taiwan)

P- Rivera (Panama)|||cause the best players from around the world come here to play in the MLB

or cause the whole world watches the world series
