How do i wash a baseball cap without making it crinkle?

i need to wash a baseball cap which turned a bit yellow with a cleaner i used, but everyother time i put a baseball cap in the washing machine, it would crinkle and ruin the hat, so how else can i wash the marks off?|||I wash my hubbies ball caps in cold water and do not put them in the dryer. If you put them in the dryer it shrinks them and the bill of the hat crinkles and looks awful. Just dry the hat by sitting it on top of the dryer or somewhere where it is warm. Hope this works|||but what about the gold sticker??? you know 59FIFTY? how can i keep it on there?

|||They make hat forms, it's like a skeleton of the hat, and you snap the hat into it so it holds its form while you wash it. I tcloses over the hat like a clam shell, and it's made of plastic strips so the water gets to the hat still.|||Any cap made of wool/cotton will shrink in the washer - so don't do that.

Get some cool water, a little woolite, and a brush, and work the dirt/sweat out of the hat. Then put it in one of the hat frames to dry.|||Hand wash in luke warm water with washing up liquid, rinse well and let drip dry.|||I use a hatform in the dishwasher rather than the regular laundry, I use a tablet-style non-bleach dishwasher detergent. It works great, my baseball caps come out wonderfully clean that way. I let them air dry afterwards. For the fitted caps, I put them on while still wet for a moment to make sure it does not dry in a slightly shrunken state.|||Top shelf of the dishwasher. Make sure your detergent does not contain bleach. Air dry!
