Why do some baseball players wear gloves under their baseball glove?

Why do they wear a glove on their hand that has the baseball glove? What type of advantages does it provide?|||because they have weak and delicate hands.|||when ur playing baseball the ball comes at u at high speeds. A pitcher will throw it 95 mph (some people can't even drive that fast) than a batter will hit it and make the speed even faster.so when someone catches it hurts your hand. The glove is extra protection not to make ur hand hurt. That's why they wear it when they hit too so the vibrate of the bat doesn't hurt.. Some do it just to look cool|||Well in the MLB ground balls are usually really fast, and "direct." Not like high school ball. The pitcher throws the ball 90+ mph, and the ball accelerates off bat even faster than that. And line drives are typically 120+ mph.

It's to stop the sting, or at least keep it at a low level so the fielder doesn't cripple in pain, lessening their chance of getting the out.|||It's a batting glove, and some probably just didn't like taking it off and putting it back on, and then it became a comfort thing. Feels wrong without it.|||pretty much it is used to absorb some of the impact from hard-hit balls. I personally don't like wearing one under my glove, it feels weird to me and if you catch the ball in the webbing, it wont hurt at all|||I think it's so that way the ball wont Hurt as much if they catch a line drive|||Its so there hand wont sting if they catch a ball that's going fast|||Lower impact of line drives, asthetic reasons, too lazy to take it off. Just my guesses.
